Softball, Soccer, School, and whatever else we can fit into the Day

The start of the soccer and softball season is on way. We are busier than ever and we are just starting. Carlos decided to play soccer this year and so now we will have soccer games here for him while Carson travels to Boise, Twin Falls, Blackfoot, and Idaho Falls for most of his games. We are running everywhere like chickens with their heads cut off. Well maybe just me but we are BUSY!!!.

This is not just a blue sky. Look close. those are gnats and they were everywhere in Blackfoot at one of Carson's game.

Carson waiting for the game to start and looking so excited.

Carson busy getting the ball and control. He was pretty feisty and working to be aggressive.

Carson laughing and trying to make conversation with the opponent. He said he said Hola but they just wouldn't even speak or make fun conversation. Some games he says they are easy and that talking to the opponent makes the game go by faster.

Carson fighting for the ball. Notice the height of these boys. Carson has grown but so do the other teams and players. He is no longer the shortest on his team though.

Carson plays with great intensity and works hard to keep the ball in control and with his team

Carson showing his opponent how buff he is. Really the wind was making him look buff.

Carson throwing in the ball. His team is a very smart and strong team. They play teams mainly older and win.

Watching that ball and getting a great hit.

On third ready to run home. Her bats are getting better and she is working hard. Every muscle is sore and in pain with the intensity that she plays with every practice and game.

Michaela ready for the ball if it comes to her.

Michaela loves 2nd base. At first Michaela was outfield but now has moved to 2nd officially. She loves it here and plays well.

Michaela at bat. She is learning a lot and enjoys being with her team.

Water Cycle project

Carlos had a project to complete in school and Grandma was so great to help him because I was too busy with my own school work. Thanks grandma and this was a great looking project. Carlos was also the first to accomplish this project. Carlos and Grandma worked on it all day on one of Carlos's special weekends. Thanks for all the help and support!

Michaela's First Fancy Dance

All three girls were going to their first dance at Highland High.

Michaela and Kaitlyn. This is her friend who helped her try out for softball and then she broke her back skiing. She is the manager of the team and a very good friend to Michaela.

Michaela and the girls, full view. They all got ready at Kaitlyn's. Her sister was the stylist. Michaela's friends helped doll her up and get the pretty shoes and earrings (all free). By the way, Michaela's dress cost $7.00 from Ross. Another great deal found by Michelle.

Michaela and her mom. Notice how tall Michaela is.

Michaela and Uncle John

Michaela and her friends, JaTaya, Miranda and Kaitlyn. Miranda did all the girls hair and she is quite good at this.

Michaela and Koltin

Michaela and the boy who asked her to the dance, Koltin McKee. Can you see those fancy high heels.

Okay, first Michaela came to me and said that she got asked to a dance by a boy and this has happened many times but she has always said no because she is not 16 years old yet. This time, She came to me and was persistent and said it was a fundraiser and a big group was going together but it was a boy ask girl dance because that's how they could earn the money. So I broke and she went to her first dance with a friend of hers, Koltin McKee who is in our stake. All proceeds for the dance and some other activities will go to this little boy in our area who is struggling with his heart. They are helping with medical expenses and other open heart surgery's he will have later in life. He is only 4 and has already had 5+ surgeries.

Highland Softball Team dinner

Team dinner at grandmas house. We thought 12 girls plus our 5 was too much for My house so I asked grandma and she was excited to help out. I'm not that much for parties and grandma is so good at them. Thank you Grandma!

The team getting a group pis for memorabilia. The girls are great and positive.

Michaela is a Highland Ram Softball Player!!!

Michaela catching a ball during warm up for the first time as a Highland Ram softball player.

In Right field waiting for some action. She played one inning at right and another at 2nd.

Getting ready to bat for the first time as a Highland Ram softball player.

She hit the sweet spot and it soared over 3rd and hit the inside line for a fair ball. YAH!!!

Getting ready to come home.

Michaela made it home and this was her first and only bat. The games were only 45 minute games and fast play.

A cheer before they go out on field to stay strong. Notice where is Michaela?

Coming in after and out and keeping their spirit high.

Michaela playing 2nd base. She did quite well. got an out and almost a double play. Just a bit excited for the first game throw.

Lining up to shake opponents hands. Good Game. Win 12-2.
