Sweetheart Dance 2013

Michaela's art

Michaela has been taking art over the last few years and loves it. She says some are harder than others but she loves it. As an kid I remember always drawing in sacrament meeting and all of us kids became pretty good. It was and outlet and we loved doing it. A few years ago I went back to school and had to take and Elementary art class and began drawing again. Michaela saw this and I told her that art is pretty fun. Soooo, here is some of her art. What do you think?

This is painted and they had to make up an animal and place it in a scene. These are owlpuses. (an Owl and octopus combined).

Grandpa Emceeing for the party. He did a great job. Some people still didn't know who it was even after he spoke. Slowly everyone began to figure it out. Dad had a blast and let his hair down. What a disguise does to a person.

Favorite Teacher Note

I have been teaching as a Title 1 Assistant for the last 3 years at an elementary school in Pocatello. I enjoy teaching and seeing the children love to learn. I however have mostly taught behavioral or ADHD children because the teachers said I have more patience and the children love my teaching style. They are engaged and want to be in Mrs. F's groups. This was one note I received last week from a third grader as she was leaving my group. These sure make teaching worth it. Only 36 credits to graduate. but in what, still undecided.

Carlos and the Pinewood Debry

Carlos award for the coolest paint job. It was great! all scouts received an award and pinewood derby stand. The scoutmaster was great and there was an award for the best sportsmanship too. It was the boy with the slowest car and you could tell he did it all by himself.

Michaela and The Snowball

Michaela is a busy girl. She loves being social and loves hanging with friends where ever. She has been to every dance this year and has not gone with the same boy yet. She is a silly but fun girl to be with and a few boys have crushes on her. This young boy is Elder Echohawks grandson and he just moved back from Utah, so Michaela asked him to go to the dance.

Carlos is 10 years old

This year for Carlos's 10th birthday I took all 9 boys to Randy's Gym. A much better place than my home where they will smell it up and may break something or get to wild and crazy. Best place in the winter besides Outer limits Fun zone.

Opening presents. Carlos had fun and was excited to have a day where all his friends could be together. It's funny because his friends are all so different but all enjoy Carlos. I'm glad we are all different.

Carlos Reflections Award

Carlos received and an award for a reflections art project that he did. His project was a film that took about a month to complete. It was of baby birds and their growth.
