Homecoming??

Michaela was surprised by one of her best guy friends, Austin Stokes! He asked her to his homecoming dance out at Century! Which is October 5th. He set some things on the porch with a friend rang the door bell and ran away!
The sign says: I know this is Corny but it would be Peachy if you went to homecoming with me! -Austin

We got some free corn and peaches! yippee!

Michaela is really excited and glad he asked. She was a little sad no one was going to ask her since it is her senior year but if she hadn't been asked she would have carried out some plans for that day with some girls having a girls day!
Michaela answered him by delivering a gift to his school, it was an easy button (staples) and a letter that said "that was easy..." and he was confused. Then later she went and decorated his room. She bought strainers (like to drain water out of noodles) and she hung those from his ceiling with some string then she made a poster that said "I could NOT re "strain" myself from saying YES!"

(pictures and post soon to come of the dance).

School has Started

School has started and it is going fast already. I am in school also taking 9 credits and working at Wilcox full time and trying to get to all the kid's events. It's crazy. But what I won't do to get my degree and be with my kids.

Caron on his first day of school. Carson is a Freshman at Highland High School.

Carlos is a 5th grader at Ellis and loving his male teacher.

Michaela is a SENIOR! Yeah scary. She is so excited and has plans for her future all mapped out.

All three of our great kids. Thanks to Juan for taking the pictures. I have to be to work by 7:30am and the kids do not go to school until 7:50am and 8:30am. I miss them but trying to build a savings and prepare the money for college. Love them and yes they are growing too fast.

Soccer and Football Season in full swing

Carson tried out on August 12-16 for the Highland High Soccer team. He was quite nervous but practicing all summer with the team helped a lot. This showed dedication and helped him know what skill level he needed to have to make the team.  By the way he made the Varsity and will play also with JV when the coach says.

Here Carson is playing in a game against Century and he is playing on the Varsity team here too.

Carson trying to save the ball from out of bounds. Can you see how high he actually was. Notice his body and the nice header. This was a tough game as most of the Century JV team are his teammates from PVSC. Playing in the Varsity game here too.
Carson and Michaela after a game. Notice how beautiful she is and how tall Carson is getting.
After the games the team comes and thanks their fans and we cheer them on. Carson has the green penny on. That is on for sub purposes.

Carson playing hard in a varsity game against Madison. Look at those leg muscles.

Carson working extremely hard here. This was an intense game.

Now to my little Carlos. He is playing his first year of tackle football. It is pretty intense but he is enjoying it so far. This year is a bit different and he has played many positions I can't keep up.
I know the Steelers are not our team but the Head coach chose this team. We would have chosen the Cowboys.
Carlos posing for his mom in his gear.

Carlos is the kicker for his team. He does pretty good and is excited to try this.

Carlos getting ready to make a tackle. He is number 4.

He the boys are getting together after a play.

Carlos going in for a tackle. He did get the guy close to the end zone. The season is short and we have not won a game yet but Carlos is having fun. Last year the team was undefeated but this year is totally different.  Learning and boys who have decided tackle isn't their thing. Also we do not have our whole team back from last year. We had 15 come back from our 26 so basically we have a new team. It's all for fun right.
