Fun games kids play!!!

In our neighborhood there are not many girls to play with so Michaela gets to have much fun with tons of boys. They make up games and they are rough and tough a ton. Michaela gets along with her brothers but at time is to rough. She loves the nighborhood boys and I'm glad they let her play with them in any sport they play. Of course she likes to be with her girls frineds too and go to the mall but with the boys they get so creative. Here are a few pictures of that.

Michaela, Jon, Ben, and Carlos as the #5.
Michaela, Jon, Ben, and Carlos as the letter "E."

Michaela, Ben, Carlos and Jon as the #4. Are you seeing them?

And last was the letter "W". they are so proud and excited to show me. They are a great bunch of kids. The fun kids can have with nothing. It's great!!!!

Carson's 1st football game....WoW!

Carson is #7 and is the closest on to you. He is a wide reciever, running back and safety. He is in and out a lot in the game telling the quarterback which play is next. He had fun at his first game but was disappointed he didn't get to touch the ball. We were sad for him. They lost in overtime but played hard.
Carson waiting by his coaches side to go in and ready to run his heart out.

Carson happy and excited to go play his first game. Football for boys this young is not my favorite and I hate to see them get hurt not only physically but mentally by their coaches and teammates. Not a great game but we have to finish the season and see how it goes the rest of the games. Soccer is sure looking like gold right now. You have to use everyone in that game and their isn't always a big star. I love that Carson is going to keep trying and we will let you know how next Saturday's game goes.

Happy 13th Birthday Party!

Michaela Elena was born Aug. 30, 1996.
Michaela is a beautiful girl and she enjoys to dress up and always has a great smile.

Carlos "got" a new bike.

Carlos as everyone knows is a growing like a weed. He is now only 2 inches shorter than Carson and his leggs are just too big for he old bike. I didn't want to go to the store and purchase a new bike as I just spent money for new clothes for school, new backpacks, and new shoes. Who knew shoes were so expensive. In the garage we had a perfectly nice bike but it was baby blue with floers and pink handle bars and pink paddles and pink chain protector. So what does this Mom do.....Sand and sand and sand, spray and spray and spray and this is what the bike turned out to become.........

What do you think about Carlos' new bike. I'm pretty proud of myself and it only took two days because I had to let the coats of paint dry but it only cost me about $10.
Carlos loves his new bike. He put some of Carson's peggs on it and now the bike fits him.

14 YEARS WOW!!!

Juan and I were married 14 years ago today, WOW!!!. We were married in the Bountiful, UT temple and have three wonderful children. Michaela, almost 13, Carson 10, and Carlos 6. We are happy and plugging away at marriage and life everyday. It's nice to have an eternal view and know we are only here for a moment. Why not enjoy it
Juan and I didn't really date but were together almost every day from June 4th, 1995 till we got married on August 25, 1995. I made my Mom crazy but her and my sister, Jody, sure planned a great reception. We have lived in Pocatello and Chubbuck all our married life. We have lived in 4 houses and love owning our own home for the second time. Juan and I have been in school off and on and I'm so excited to say that Juan will be graduating in May with a bachelors in Spanish. He has worked so hard and has had great jobs and friends to help him on his way. I am currently in school and almost a junior (6 credits away). We are not perfect but do love to spend time with our kids and go on vacations and camping trips with our friends. The years have treated us good and we hope to have many more ahead. Enjoy the time travel of pictures.

1st day of School.......Summer is over.

The new look at Ellis Elementary.....Ajungle theme for a jungle school???
See the monkey's hanging from the trees. Is this really a school or a jungle??? Cute though.

Carson was all smiles for his first day of school.....A Fifth grader. The top of the school chain (6th grade was moved up to middle school....AHHHHH!!!!)
Carlos was aliitle nervous but came home with a great big smile and loved the food at the cafeteria. We will see how long that lasts. He loves his teacher and excited to be back and learning more.

Michaela was quite nervous but excited. She had a funny smile if you can see and I think I bug her when I ask her for her picture. She will love me for it when she is OLD. I love her and she is still much braver than her mother. She had a pretty purple shirt and jeans on. Her Hawthorne sweater covers everything up. She was so cute. A "BIG" 8th grader she is now.

Tackle Football .....AHHHHH!!!!!!

Carson loves all sports but has been pretty persistent in asking to play football. He started out asking to play flag football and I finally said yes and then it was tackle football and I said yes. I decided it better to be while he is young to feel his consequences now than to be 15 yrs. old and in pain and wanting to quit. I hope my plan works or else I'm in for a long road of injury and pain. OR maybe he will be so quick that he will never get tackled. That's my wish. So here are a few pics of practice without pads and more to come of games and stuff.

Carson doing a ton of sit ups.
Carson hitting the bag or is the bag getting him?

Carson stretching which is very important before any sport.

Juan's Shoulder Surgery (Monday August 3,2009)

Juan during prep-time. He was happy and joking til.......;

Juan coming out of surgery in PAIN!!!!. He also wasn't fully awake and was struggling to walk and stay awake.

Juan still asleep after his surgery at 7:30am. It's about 1:00pm when I took the photo. He takes awhile to come out of anesthesia.

The stitches on the front side of his shoulder. He had a cyst bigger than a golf ball, dislocated shoulder and torn ligament. Yuck, and the surgery was painful. I asked Juan if he would get the surgery again and he said, "No way!!! It hurts worse than it did before." Juan is doing great and healing, it's just taking a while. He still has physical therapy ahead of him...OUCH!!!
