Carlos Scout Day Camp

These are the boys who were in our group for Carlos's scout day camp. It was a fun day and Carlos and I were together the whole day like old times.

Carlos and his troop buddies making a sign for the day camp.

Playing one of the games of many that helped to pass off some scout stuff all day long.

Carlos hula hooping. He is pretty good at it but said that Loni was the master. He is always thinking and commenting on little positives here and there.

Carlos and his friend Kaleb playing a pull tug game. This game frustrated Carlos but he kept trying and then decided to move on to another not so competitive buddy.

Carlos making a Japanese Hat to help keep him from the sun. The whole camp was Japanese Ninja Adventure Camp. A fun activity.

Making a Chinese star but out of Frisbees. A creative and safe twist on these dangerous stars.
Carlos is waiting for a pattern so he can trace and begin his star.

The fitness part of the day. Carlos was great at this. He did this a lot with his grandma, meditate and stretch. He love this game the best. It was a obstacle course and they first went through the adult version and then the kids got to make their own obstacle course.

Carlos taking aim at the target. This was harder than he thought. He kept trying and did get some to hit the Target. I must say this was all new to him and he was a bit scared at first but before we left he said this was fun and next time I will be even better.

My (Michelle's) 36th Birthday

For my birthday I received some perfume, fire pit, money, a journal, and lots of notes. It was a good day but a quiet one at that because my birthday was on Sunday. My mom and dad had me and the kids over for dinner on Saturday and we had a great visit and played games. It was a great birthday with all the jokes and then some.

Juan and the kids telling me to go away so they can finish decorating my birthday cake. It was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Juan and I made it together. It had a great surprise on it as you will see in the picture below.

Don't I look happy to turn 36? The kids and Juan couldn't find a 3 but we had a 6 so they improvised making a 40 - 4= 36. Yah! that went over well. But in all fun I will be used to seeing a 40 on a cake and so turning 40 won't be so bad. I can't believe I'm getting that old. It goes by too fast. I was just 21 yesterday.
