Carson 1st Basketball Game

The cheer to begin the game. Go Broncos!!!

Carson getting in position. He likes basketball almost as much as soccer.

Jarom hurt pretty bad on the court. He went after a loose ball and hit the wall pretty good. He fractured both bones in his arm. They didn't say if surgery was needed but at 8pm we went to wish him better and he was at an ISU game. Boy, Boys bounce back quickly.

Being ready. I noticed Carson's team played most of the game in zone defense. A great game and the boys work well together.

This is a blurry picture but had such great form I wanted to post it.

Carson getting a pass. They said he traveled but it was a great shot. It went in but didn't count.

Carson getting ready for a pass after a free throw shot. This was a pretty intense game and an emotional one too. They did great but lost 25-29. A great game for their first game and without their tallest and great friend, Jarom. He broke his arm in two places in the first 10 minutes of the game. He is out the rest of the season. Bummer. I did look up the teams ratings from last year. Carson did not play with this team. He was on the Cougars who are no longer. They had not won one game in 3 year. The Broncos were 2 and 5. At least they won 2 games. I hope this year they can win a few more.

All the boys played well. Jarom goes to see the doctor today. It doesn't look like he will need to be pinned or plated. He broke the bones above the growth plate and that is good as far as breaks are concerned. He was at church yesterday, too. He didn't pass the Sacrament because it is his right hand that is broken. But he will be passing with his left hand for the next few weeks. He will still be at all the practices practicing dribbling and shooting with his left hand and to encourage his teammates on. As long as the boys have fun together and enjoy one anothers company and support each other... that is the most important. Love, Mom
