IRAQ Cross Service project.

Michaela, Carson, and Carlos all posing with their mallets after hammering in over 50 crosses for a Memorial service for those who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Carson getting ready to hammer in a cross of a fallen soldier.

Michaela and I working hard together to get the "look-a-like" Arlington cemetery ready for Memorial day weekend.

Carlos and Grandma made a great team and had a great system of hammering in the soldier crosses. Thank you Grandma for asking us to come and help with this great service project. We now have a special place for those who serve our country because our Uncle Rick has been serving in the Navy for almost 5 years. We love you Rick and thanks for setting an example for all of us and being willing to serve. We thought and talked about you and your great sacrifice you are making so far away from Debi, Loni, Ada, and the new one on the way. We LOVE YOU!!!!!!

This was really fun for me, too. I am glad that you guys came and liked doing it. It is hard to believe so many have died in war... I wonder if we will ever learn the value of peace. Love, Mom
