Soccer and Football Season in full swing

Carson tried out on August 12-16 for the Highland High Soccer team. He was quite nervous but practicing all summer with the team helped a lot. This showed dedication and helped him know what skill level he needed to have to make the team.  By the way he made the Varsity and will play also with JV when the coach says.

 

 Here Carson is playing in a game against Century and he is playing on the Varsity team here too.

Now to my little Carlos. He is playing his first year of tackle football. It is pretty intense but he is enjoying it so far. This year is a bit different and he has played many positions I can't keep up.
I know the Steelers are not our team but the Head coach chose this team. We would have chosen the Cowboys.

Last year the team was undefeated but this year is totally different.  Learning and boys who have decided tackle isn't their thing. Also we do not have our whole team back from last year. We had 15 come back from our 26 so basically we have a new team. It's all for fun right.

Michaela's Remodeled Room

Michaela has asked me for several months to redo her bedroom. I didn't want to because our house has been for sale and I didn't want to be caught in the middle. BUT.... Finally I gave in and we redid Carson, Carlos, and Michaela's rooms. Next are my room, the computer room and storage rooms. We are having fun and it is looking better every day. Michaela has an eye for decorating and has chosen great colors for all. Look at her work. She by the way painted all the rooms mostly by herself. She is really good at this too.

 Michaela painted these birds and chose all new bedding and paint. She also did a bit rearranging and also got some new shelves.

 

Before and After

We have had our home for sale for almost a year and Yes we have had a lot of showings but only one slight offer. The kids have asked to redo their bedrooms but I kept putting it off and finally just said why not. so here are the before and after's of all but Michaela's. I still need to do some touch ups so I will have that soon.

Randy's Gym

I have had a free punch card since before Carlos's birthday and wanted to take my sisters to Randy's Gym. It never seemed to work when Debi was in town and we are sorry but I finally had time to go with Jody and the kids had a blast and so did the adults.

Michaela Senior Pics

My baby girl is going to be a senior this year and we have started to get ready for the BIG year we are headed for. Senior pictures are a big deal and we have started. These are a few of our favorites but with over 400 pictures taken already it's hard to choose. Thank you Aunt Jody for being a great photographer. We love you and can't wait to see you again soon.
