Family Vacation: California 2012

California here we come. We had a very great visit in California. It was soooo fun and so fast. We are glad we got to come and we are glad Jody and Tate were willing to keep Michaela for this month.
Carson watching me take a photo op and being great at the Mormon Battalion in California.
Panning for gold at the Mormon Battalion. The kids loved this and got alittle wet.
Close-up of the kids panning for gold. They found a lot but could only keep 2.
Tyler taking a bath. Wouldn't you hate to take a bath like this. My dad was telling us that he took a bath in a tub like this but that his water was always cold because he was the last of 9 to get a bath and the water wasn't changed. DISGUSTING. but I guess he did get a bath.
Carlos getting ready to go fight the in the Mormon Battalion.
Joss panning for gold too.
Tyler taking a walk. He was with Juan and for some reason loved Juan and Juan loved him right back.
Boys posing for a great picture. They had fun and loved the Free fun.
Carson and Carlos checking out Downtown San Diego.
Boys and Joss in a covered wagon.
All who went to the Mormon Battalion. Our tour guide was from Layton, UT and she was great with the kids.
Michaela in her own picture.
Carson enjoying Great Grandpas pool, floaty and all.
Tyler loving the pool. He was fearless and loved jumping in. He would of jumped in without anyone to catch him but good thing he was a bit hesitant.
Tyler loving the water. notice the picture and how the water is stopped at his chin. I thought this was a great picture before he got even wetter.
Michaela and her 1600's hairstyler. We should try to make this a trend.
Michaela and her tricks.

Michaela doing a back flip. She is working on it and she did great. She was braver than I would of been. This day was cold to me so I did not swim. I know a party pooper but it was only 67 there.
Michaela on the beach. One of the days she was there. I love how she is watching the ground and seeing what even the sand has to offer.
All the boys walking along the beach. Tyler was ready to swim....NO FEAR. No wonder Jody needs ten hands when she is by water.
The reason we came to California in the first place. My cousin Bonnie got married. She married a great guy and we wish them all the greatness of married life.
A few more pictures of the beach. Do you see how I am dressed. I thought it was cold. I do have a suit under this but I thought it was toooo cold to even swim.
A diver was lost and they did find him a few days later but he died. Sad. He was diving with no one  else. Always have a dive buddy.

Some great sand art. Do you see the HIPPO?
Bonnie got married at this awesome park so we took family pictures here while we waited for Bonnie to arrive. Carlos and all his greatness.

Carson asking do I have too and I said yes. Just cooperate for a half hour and yes he had a count down.
Juan shot this. I'm usually the one taking the photos so I'm not much in them. I liked this one.
Michaela in her new outfit. One of a few before we left her for the month.
Quick family pics.
Tate, Tyler and Jody and Joss family picture.
Bonnie and Rob.

Sorry these are out of order but the new blog is not that fun. Bonnie and Uncle Jim as she walked down the isle.
Having some more fun at my Aunt lees.

Carlos was a BIG help with both Joss and Tyler. He was great at keeping an eye on  them and being like a big brother.
Michaela and her tricks.
The end came too fast but we had a great visit. We are now saving our pennies for a cruise for Christmas. The kids want to get away to a warmer climate. We will see how much we can save. They also want to go to Hawaii but that might have to be later on when I have saved a million dollars.

You have some really good pictures from the whole vacation. I loved the shots at the railroad tracks. You could use the whole family one for your Christmas pictures or for a new familyphoto that is a little updated. Really cute photo of all the boys walking on the beach. Boy! tyler really took a shine to Juan. It was cute and it was trust. That was really sweet. thanks for sharing and for posting. Love, Mom
